The success of HUG’s Intergenerational Chinese New Year Dinner wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible efforts of our volunteers and supporters, who poured their hearts into making the event special. From setting up the venue to delivering unforgettable performances, their dedication and passion truly shone through.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Hai Di Lao staff, who served the delicious hotpot dinner but also entertained us with their lively dances and face-changing performances. Their energy and professionalism added so much fun and excitement to the night.
A huge thank you to our student volunteers from Beatty Secondary School, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to set up the event and ensure everything ran smoothly. Their energy and enthusiasm were the backbone of the evening. These students also went above and beyond by serving the elderly with such warmth and care, creating meaningful connections that embodied the spirit of intergenerational unity.
The stage came alive thanks to the talented student performers who shared their gifts with us. Grace mesmerised the audience with her beautiful pipa performance, while Vanessa and Xuan En captivated everyone with their soulful singing and guitar melodies. Jane’s enchanting Gu Zheng performance added tradition and elegance to the evening. These young talents brought so much joy and creativity to the celebrations, and we are so grateful for their contributions.
A special shoutout too to the team from Breakthrough Missions, who moved us with their heartfelt singing and added their unique flair to the programme.
To all our volunteers and supporters, whether you were setting up, performing, serving, or simply spreading kindness, thank you for being the heart of this event. Your hard work and dedication created a space where generations could come together, share stories, and celebrate the spirit of Chinese New Year.
