Nippon Koi Farm Intergenerational Excursion 2025

On the 18th of January, HUG Community organised a fun and educational intergenerational excursion to the Nippon Koi Farm for our elderly participants, with youth volunteers actively involved throughout the day. It was a day filled with learning and laughter as they toured the farm and gained insights into the fascinating world of fish farming, aquaponics, and vegetable cultivation.

Excursions like this are important for the community as they provide our elderly participants with opportunities to step out of their usual environments and experience something new, while also encouraging meaningful interactions between different generations. These outings stimulate their minds, promote physical activity, and foster connections between youth and the elderly as they explore different spaces together.

To add to the joy, we also hosted a Mai Gong Bo Jio, Coffee Corner, on location, where our amazing volunteers, including youth, served the elderly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

A huge thank you to all who made this excursion possible! Their time, effort, and care in making the day special for our elderly participants truly made a difference. We look forward to more outings like this in the future, as we continue to build lasting memories and meaningful moments together. Support like this truly helps make these opportunities a reality!
