HUG Joins in Singapore Pools' Weekend With A Heart

On 16 and 17 August, HUG Community had the joy of taking part in Singapore Pools’ Weekend With A Heart. Over the two days, our team set up a booth to share about our programmes and the work we do with the public. We are thankful to Singapore Pools for inviting us to be part of this meaningful initiative and for choosing us as one of their beneficiaries this year.

Supporters like Singapore Pools play an important role in helping us continue our mission of serving the community. Their generosity, together with the funds raised through Football With A Heart totalling $1,226,400, directly strengthens the work of social service agencies across Singapore. We were glad that Pastor Grace Yeo could join the cheque presentation alongside fellow agencies to witness the collective spirit of giving.

We are also deeply grateful to our student volunteers who dedicated their time across both weekends to share more about HUG with the public. A special mention goes to Taixin and Cherie, who represented us wonderfully in a conversation with Minister Jeffrey Seow, Acting Minister of Transport, where they introduced him to our Intergenerational Care Movement Programmes and the HUG Healers Programme.

Moments like these remind us that it takes a community to keep compassion alive, and we are thankful for every supporter, partner, and volunteer who makes our work possible.
