HUG Joins Majulah Singapaw 2024

Check out the highlights from Majulah Singapaw 2024, held on 17th August at Rivervale Community Club by Hope For Animals Singapore! HUG Community was thrilled to be part of this amazing event, where we set up our Pet Therapy room. It was fantastic to see the community come together to play with Mercy and Courage, our lovable therapy dogs, with our bunny, Blessing, and to learn more about our HUG Healers Programme.

The day took a special turn when Dr Cheng Lee JP, Clinical Director of the Office of Population Health at the Institute of Mental Health, visited our Pet Therapy room. Dr Lee took the time to chat with our team, sharing profound insights on the role of therapy dogs in supporting mental health and well-being. His words highlighted the incredible benefits these animals bring, especially in providing comfort and support during challenging times. A special moment was when one of our dedicated volunteers had the chance to chat with Dr Lee for an inspiring interview. The exchange was both enlightening and motivating, reminding us all of the positive impact we can make together.

Watch the video to relive these memorable moments and see how we’re making a difference together!
