Amidst the warm glow of lanterns and the gentle rustling of autumn leaves, HUG Community came together for a spectacular Intergenerational Community Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration on the 17th Of September!
This year, our wonderful youth volunteers orchestrated a heartwarming event that beautifully bridged the gap between generations, honouring traditions, and fostering connections that will last a lifetime.
Our highlight of the day? A mesmerising traditional tea ceremony (敬茶) that transported us back to ancient times, where families and friends came together to share tea and create cherished memories during the mid-autumn season. It was a poignant reminder of the importance of Intergenerational Bonding & Communication, Family Relation Wellness, Thanks-Giving, and Social Inclusion for Ex-Offenders.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our patron, Acting Minister for National Development,
Mr Chee Hong Tat. His support means the world to us!
The event was filled with fantastic performances that added a touch of magic to the evening. Our gratitude also goes out to the talented students from Beatty Secondary School, whose music and artistry filled our hearts with joy and gratitude.
To sweeten the celebration, we savoured a fabulous buffet spread with egg tarts and beautiful dishes, and sponsored pomelos, paired harmoniously with 'Tie GuanYin & Puer tea 铁观音茶 & 普洱茶'.
We also like to thank Bidot Tech Pte Ltd for the tea making set and Mr Lin Xiang for sponsoring the yummy dinner and other donors for supporting the event! Thank you all for joining us at this remarkable festival, where generations united, and memories were made. Let's continue to cherish these moments and strengthen the bonds that make our community a true family.
To our fantastic volunteers we really couldn’t have done it without you!
