HUG Participates in First Aid Course 2026

On 4 April, our student volunteers headed to Toa Payoh West CC to take part in a First Aid Course, where they were certified in CPR and AED use.

We are incredibly proud of them for stepping forward to learn these life-saving skills and for choosing to be better prepared to care for the people around them. We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the People’s Association  and Toa Payoh West CC for organising and inviting us to be part of this meaningful programme.

At HUG, a big part of why this matters is because of our regular and meaningful interactions with seniors in the community. As we spend time with elderly beneficiaries through our programmes and outreach efforts, being equipped with basic emergency response knowledge becomes more than just a useful skill, it becomes part of showing up responsibly and caring well.

This certification reflects a spirit of readiness, responsibility, and compassion that our student leaders inculcate in themselves.

Well done to our volunteers for taking this seriously and for continuing to grow as a community that is prepared to support one another when it matters most!
