Our Post National Day Mai Gong Bo Jio event in Toa Payoh last Saturday, 17 August 2024, was a fantastic way to celebrate this year’s National Day theme, “Together, As One United People.” A big thank you to Minister Chee Hong Tat, our amazing board members, generous donors, and especially the seniors who joined us for this special occasion.
National Day is a special time for us to come together and think about what makes us a strong community. It’s about recognising the values that connect us, like support, respect, and shared goals. This day is a chance to celebrate our collective achievements and the spirit that keeps us united. It reminds us of the joy and strength we gain when we work and celebrate together.
This year’s theme really shone through in our celebration. It was heartwarming to see everyone enjoying the day and feeling the connection that binds us all. Minister Chee Hong Tat’s performance was a real highlight, adding so much energy and cheer to the event. We also had a treat with delicious fruits from Durian Grandpa’s – durians, grapes, and watermelons that everyone loved.
