Celebrating SG60 at our National Day Mai Gong Bo Jio 2025 Together!
What a wonderful morning we shared on 2nd August! Our National Day Mai Gong Bo Jio celebration brought neighbours together at the void deck below Block 200, near our centre. We were honoured to have Mr Chee Hong Tat , Minister for National Development, and Bishan- Toa Payoh MP Ms Elysa Chen joined us in marking this special day.
The space was filled with so much vibrancy and fun as Emcee Fei Fei entertained everyone with lively performances. Residents enjoyed a hearty breakfast spread of baos, dumplings, laksa, and chendol. Most touching was seeing our student and community volunteers serving our elderly neighbours with kindness and smiles, a true reflection of unity in action.
National Day continually reminds us that our strength lies in simple, everyday connections. It’s about neighbours looking out for one another, sharing food and stories, and feeling part of a shared home. Watching everyone both young and old laugh and connect under one roof captured the spirit of being one united people.
Our warmest thanks to Mr Chee Hong Tat and Ms Elysa Chen for celebrating with us. We’re deeply grateful to every volunteer who gave their time, every resident who shared the morning, and everyone who worked to make this event possible. Your presence is what makes our HUG community strong. Let’s keep this neighbourly spirit alive every day.
Happy National Day, Singapore!
