On 18 January 2025, HUG Community organised an intergenerational excursion to Nippon Koi Farm, bringing together elderly participants and youth volunteers for a day of exploration and meaningful engagement.

The excursion provided participants with an opportunity to learn about fish farming, aquaponics, and vegetable cultivation, offering a hands-on experience that sparked curiosity and conversation across generations. These outings play a vital role in fostering intergenerational bonds, encouraging active participation, and providing our elderly with enriching new experiences.

A highlight of the day was the Mai Gong Bo Jio Coffee Corner, where our youth volunteers served refreshments with warmth and care, creating a welcoming space for interaction and connection.

Such initiatives are essential in promoting social inclusion, cognitive stimulation, and physical activity, ensuring that our elderly remain engaged members of the community.
